About The Role

IU Health is seeking a bold, intellectually curious analytics expert to join our System Strategy team as an Analytics Lead – Strategic Intelligence and Market Insights. This role is designed for high-functioning professionals who thrive in environments of complexity, accountability, and strategic impact – without the need for direct people leadership. As Analytics Lead, you’ll serve as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders and help guide the direction of Indiana’s leading health system. You’ll own the design and execution of advanced analytics that leverage healthcare claims, demographic data, utilization trends, and internal operational data to analyze market dynamics, forecast demand, and uncover strategic opportunities. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Intelligence and Market Insights, you’ll provide technical leadership and guidance on analytical initiatives, advance best practices, and mentor colleagues across the System Strategy team (which includes professionals in strategy, analytics, and corporate development). Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic analytics projects across a broad range of initiatives, including facility planning, market entrance/expansion, and service line performance
• Use statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and data visualization to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
• Lead the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of high-impact Power BI dashboards that support executive decision-making and strategic planning
• Drive innovation in data storytelling by translating complex findings into clear, compelling visual narratives
• Ensure all team dashboards and reports follow best practices in data modeling, performance, and scalability
• Establish and promote standards, comprehensive documentation, and version control to support long-term maintainability and scalability
• Influence senior leaders by presenting analytical findings in a clear, concise, and compelling way
• Collaborate across departments – including strategy, IT, operations, finance, marketing, and executive leadership – to understand business needs and deliver tailored solutions
• Mentor colleagues and coordinate work across the analytics, strategy, and corporate development teams, providing technical guidance and support to foster a culture of continuous learning, analytical rigor, and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's Degree is preferred.
• Requires 7-10 years of relevant experience.
• Requires 5-7 years of progressive experience in healthcare analytics.
• Requires advanced proficiency in SQL and business intelligence (BI) software. 3-5 years of development experience in Power BI strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with healthcare claims analytics strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with the Indiana healthcare landscape, particularly large healthcare providers, preferred.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail.
• Outstanding facilitation and communication skills, including the ability to remain focused on stakeholder expectations and timelines.
• Proven ability to lead through influence and drive results in a complex and matrixed environment.
