Responsibilities:

  • Manage product costing and inventory accounting for strap manufacturing plants.
  • Finance partner for strap manufacturing plant cycle count program (Setup and Post Journals, ensure counts completed on regular basis).
  • Coordinate period physical inventory count for Heath Plant (at least 1-2x per year)
  • Manage the monthly closing for Heath Plant and ensure monthly reconciliations for balance sheets are performed and are accurate.
  • Analyze overhead, cost of sales and actual manufacturing costs compared to budget, forecast and prior periods. 
  • Assist with preparation of strap manufacturing plant operating budgets and ongoing forecasts.
  • Responsibility for ensuring steel strap manufacturing plant fixed assets and repairs are appropriately accounted for, including preparation or review of capital expenditure requests and annual physical verification of assets.
  • Ensure steel plant production processes that impact financial information are performed accurately.
  • Maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, assets, processes and data, and enhance the Company's value. Conform with and abide by all policies, work procedures, and instructions
  • Proactively identify manufacturing cost trends that impact the business and financial results. Works closely with the Steel Strap Manufacturing Plant Manager to produce accurate and timely manufacturing and financial analysis.
  • Assist with completion of accounting and analysis work for other PSG plants. 
  • Conform with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment.
  • Perform other duties as required. 

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting:  
  • 5 years manufacturing accounting experience 
  • Manufacturing and cost accounting experience.
  • Strong ERP and Microsoft Excel (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferable)
  • Strong leadership, good verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Team player with ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
