Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal teams to develop robust financial forecasts for Xbox Devices, integrating demand projections across various platforms, screens, and experiences. Use these insights to shape product and channel strategies that align with business growth objectives.
  • Develop and evaluate pricing, offer, and promotion strategies based on market conditions and revenue impact. Partake and influence Long Range planning for the products in scope.
  • Synthesize complex business insights and financial analyses to inform strategic decisions. Present clear, actionable recommendations to stakeholders, enabling effective resource allocation and investment prioritization. Convey complex financial concepts, insights, and solutions in a clear, concise, and compelling manner by utilizing storytelling techniques to engage and inform technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and reporting requirements by reviewing the accuracy of financial documents and business processes.
  • Consult with business partners on sharing financial information and maintaining consistency with corporate policies. Oversee the operational rollout of business plans, ensuring financial requirements and timelines are met. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement readiness strategies, gather stakeholder feedback, and align execution with financial objectives.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience partnering directly with engineering or OS/platform teams to translate technical options into financial outcomes.
  • 2+ years creating executive-level presentations that translate complex financial analysis into clear business narratives.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in corporate finance, strategy, or consulting, with exposure to hardware, OS/platform, or consumer technology businesses.
  •  Experience modeling COGS/BOM, pricing, and margin structures for device or platform products.
  • Proven ability to build scenario-based or driver-based models for new business cases, including sensitivity and investment analysis.
  • Experience partnering directly with engineering or product teams to translate technical trade-offs into financial impacts.
  • Track record of executive-level storytelling—developing and presenting decks or narratives that influence leadership decisions.
  • Demonstrated success operating in ambiguous, high-growth, or cross-functional environments, driving clarity and decision-making without direct authority.
  • Familiarity with gaming ecosystems or hardware economics (e.g., attach rates, ARPU, monetization levers).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel / Power BI / SQL for model automation, visualization, and performance tracking.
  • Prior experience in consulting, tech strategy, or hardware P&L ownership preferred.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
