Internship
Start Date: January 2026 | Duration: 6 months.
Come build community, explore your passions and do your best work at Microsoft with thousands of University interns from every corner of the world. This opportunity will allow you to bring your aspirations, talent, potential—and excitement for the journey ahead.
Generative AI is rapidly reshaping the way individuals and organisations work, innovate, and engage with technology. From tools like Microsoft 365 Copilot to advanced agent-based systems, this technology leverages machine learning to create content from natural language instructions—producing text, images, audio, video, and more. These capabilities open new opportunities for businesses to differentiate themselves, optimise processes, and deliver personalised experiences.
As part of this internship, you will explore and implement Microsoft’s AI solutions, including Azure AI Foundry, to design and develop practical use cases that demonstrate the value of generative AI. Your work will involve:
- Identifying scenarios where AI can enhance productivity, creativity, and customer engagement.
- Building prototypes and demonstrations to showcase these solutions.
- Analysing potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies to ensure responsible AI adoption.
Beyond technical implementation, you will contribute to addressing critical challenges such as ethical considerations, privacy protection, and security risks associated with generative AI. This includes developing approaches to prevent misuse, ensure content reliability, and maintain user trust. You will collaborate with a dynamic team passionate about innovation, helping shape the next generation of AI applications that empower people while keeping them in control.
If you are curious about generative AI, intelligent agents, and responsible innovation, this role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies and make a meaningful impact.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

- Transform PoCs into ready-to-use implementation models and contribute to open-source projects on GitHub, including those led or supported by Microsoft.
