As a Senior Technical Program Manager on our cross-platform Audio team, you will be responsible for supporting the definition and delivery of multiple Audio enabled Surface products. You will collaborate and manage the delivery of complex software products that interface closely with low level hardware, firmware and drivers. You will lead planning, tracking, bug triage and reporting for a multi-disciplinary team using program management and agile software development skills.

Responsibilities

 
  • Manage driver, audio software feature development and audio quality tuning delivery for multiple hardware programs.
  • Work with  software engineering, quality and hardware partners to plan, schedule and release multiple software releases throughout the product development cycle from early phase definition, through release to in market support.
  • Work with external suppliers to source, define and run algorithm tuning for audio quality and features.
  • Work with Experience team leads to ensure product quality meets KPIs to deliver products that meet expectation set at program definition.
  • Work with Internal Microsoft Partners in teams outside of Surface to define and deliver new Windows features that expand the functionality of Audios in Surface products.
  • Continuously improve the end to end hardware/software development lifecycle process.
  • Forecast and manage a yearly budget working to leverage past work to improve future costs to the business.
  • Drive audio bring-up tuning programs and knowledge of image pipelines is preferred.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Familiarity with audio hardware components and related software frameworks.
  • Experience driving audio bring-up tuning programs or similar experience.
  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or related field and 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or hardware product development
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience with drafting and negotiating SOW, NRE and COGs with external partners.
  • Experience with the Windows software stack.
  • Experience delivering AI-based features.
  • Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops.
  • OR equivalent experience.


Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
