We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager for The Game Developer SDK and Tools team. This candidate seeks to build tools, SDKs and services that empower developers to deliver on the Xbox promise of helping players what they want, where they want, with whomever they want, regardless of device or form factor. You will build the technology that developers use to light up core Xbox experiences and partner with key middleware providers to make sure those experiences are available to game developers of all shapes and sizes. You will build tools that help developer get the most out of every CPU and GPU clock cycle. You will build platforms that help connect players together in real team, no matter where they play.

Responsibilities

  • Set program vision and priorities across multiple products, aligned with strategy and stakeholder needs.
  • Define success metrics and partner to develop telemetry for performance tracking. Collaborate with engineering and design on architecture and solutions to ensure success in the proposed technical approaches.
  • Lead implementation planning for pilots and releases, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with legal, security, and quality standards.
  • Drive roadmap execution, breaking programs into projects and operations, coordinating schedules, and resolving technical questions.
  • Drive risk assessment and mitigation through data-driven analysis.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional integration, build stakeholder relationships, validate outcomes, and provide technical advisory for complex programs.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Experience working in game development, with game developers and/or on game development workflows.Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos)
  • 2+ years of experience working in game development, with game developers and/or on game development workflows.

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
