We are looking for a collaborative and innovative UX designer with a demonstrated aesthetic and a strategic mind to support SMB ecommerce customer journeys. In partnership with the direct team, you will explore, ideate and create customer-centric experiences that are both intuitive and functional.
In this UX role, you will need to take on complex UI patterns and interaction problems providing innovative solutions that will serve key core revenue goals. You should have a strong understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design and an interest in the technical aspects that bring designs to life; possess the ability to communicate and translate the ideas to the team, as well as the ability to lead and champion collaborative design techniques.
You will oversee the strategic remit of our components, UX patterns and system-of-systems strategy which will help us to deliver platform capable experiences at Enterprise scale.
You will be responsible for design new patterns for our core design system, creating libraries, and communicating potential solutions to other UX design teams.
On any given day, you may find yourself conceptualizing, designing, prototyping and testing ideas via Figma while ensuring those designs support user goals and meet the overall business requirements. You’re also responsible for generating detailed UX guidelines. You’ll proactively solicit feedback from others and offer thoughtful critique that helps elevate the work of those around you.
Finally, you’re skilled at articulating UX design rationale, putting the customer experience first and tying your decisions to project goals and experience strategy. You will also collaborate in a cross-functional capacity working closely with the Web Marketing team building relationships with other designers, front-end and back-end developers.
Success in this role is to take an innovative and strategic design approach to customer journey problems and be able to solve complex challenges with clear communication and collaboration skills. You’ll be adept at putting yourself in the customer role and optimizing for their experience while making decisions that demonstate flexibility and are nimble as you manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities
- Lead and communicate a clear, commercial web design vision across products to drive customer value.
- Provide UX solutions in ecommerce customer journeys. to better serve our audience and enable scalable design.
- Collaborate with designers across teams to align design standards, commercial brand and complex UI patterns.
- Champion and innovate with a focus on customer experiences within the online space.
- Partner with designers and developers to ensure tools and strategies support Cloud product adoption goals and core KPIs.
- Work closely with engineering and cross-functional leads to shape the roadmap and priorities.
- Act in consultation with hired agencies for guidance in UX and Microsoft UX best practices and brand adherence
- Set a high bar for design quality in visuals, interaction, and systems—and mentor others' growth in these areas.
- Share your passion and thought leadership in design systems within the team, company, and industry.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications (Rqs/Mqs)
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Digital Arts, Technical Art, Game Design, or related field AND 3+ years technical art or industry-related design experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Digital Arts, Technical Art, Game Design, or related field AND 4+ years technical art or industry-related design experience OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years experience using related software and packages (e.g., Autodesk Maya, MotionBuilder, 3D Studio Max, Adobe Creative Suite, SideFX Houdini, Zbrush, Substance Suite).
Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interaction Design, Visual Design, Graphic Design or equivalent from an accredited school; 7+ years of professional UX experience leading creative work, branding, graphic design, marketing and digital; accomplished presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal; demonstrated experience successfully working with a cross-disciplinary design team; experience in a consulting or agency environment preferred.
- Experience in customer journey innovation, implementing design systems, use of digital UX tools like Figma.
- Current with industry trends, technology, design tools and processes.
- Proficient at using design and technology to solve user challenges.
- Create, find and implement innovative solutions.
Technical Art IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
