Role Summary
Leads teams to identify opportunities and gaps within products or functional areas, fosters division-level connections, and guides cross-team collaboration to design architecture and integrated solutions. Directs teams in defining goals, success criteria, and performance metrics, and orchestrates efforts with internal and external partners to implement processes for cross-functional programs. Partners with technical and business teams to drive the roadmap, manages project schedules using automation and AI, and oversees performance tracking and reporting for continuous improvement. Additionally, manages people, drives employee development, and oversees project execution and performance.

Ensures alignment of proposed solutions with Microsoft’s goals and strategy, directs system and process improvements to rapidly generate insights, and oversees the creation of solution roadmaps that address dependencies and market needs.

Senior leaders guide teams in setting program goals and priorities across multiple product and functional areas by translating organizational needs into actionable objectives using data-driven insights. They oversee risk management, leveraging data and advanced tools like AI and automation for proactive and reactive mitigation strategies. Leaders also define success criteria and performance metrics such as OKRs and KPIs, ensure appropriate telemetry is established, and facilitate a clear understanding of return on investment. Additionally, they collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Marketing, Design, and Security—to design integrated technical architectures, evaluate solution options, and work with internal and external partners to deliver optimal technical solutions.
Product/Service/Solution Development
Leaders guide teams in partnering with technical and business stakeholders to deliver on product roadmaps, ensuring a clear understanding of value propositions and addressing technical inquiries. They justify capacity needs, advocate for proper resource allocation, and drive the integration of AI features that uphold quality, security, and ethical standards, while aligning capabilities with evolving goals and tradeoffs. Teams are supported in maintaining compliance with privacy, security, accessibility, and other legal and business standards. Product/Service/Solution Performance
Leaders guide teams in owning the customer support experience through comprehensive documentation, monitoring product and service usage, and leveraging automation and AI for root-cause analysis of live-site incidents. They coach teams to enhance support processes, foster collaboration across forums and communities, and partner with stakeholders for broad live-site improvements. Additionally, leaders ensure teams serve as technical advisors, educating and promoting products or services through customer engagements, actively soliciting feedback to understand user experiences. Teams also collaborate with functions such as Engineering and Design to collect and analyze key performance metrics, report progress, and use technologies like AI and customer listening systems to generate actionable insights. Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications.
• Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
o OR equivalent experience
• 5+ years of software industry experience, with demonstrated collaboration and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation - to peers and executives).
• 5+ years of proficiency as a program or product manager with at least 2+ years as people manager.
• 1+ years(s) of understanding and history developing distributed and/or cloud-based systems.
