Position: System Administrator / Devops Engineer

• Location: Maia, Porto (On-site)
• Experience Level: Mid to Senior (37 years)
• Employment Type: Full-time

About The Role

Youll be responsible for managing our full infrastructure stack from Kubernetes clusters and PostgreSQL data lakes to Python-based microservices, ML pipelines, and LLM agent orchestration. This is a hands-on role where your decisions directly impact performance, scalability, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management

• Design, deploy, and maintain production-grade Kubernetes clusters
• Manage container orchestration and service mesh configurations
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for microservices
• Oversee Docker image lifecycle, optimization, and security

Database Administration

• Administer and optimize PostgreSQL databases
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
• Monitor performance and apply optimization strategies
• Ensure database security, access control, and compliance

Platform Operations

• Deploy and maintain Python microservices across environments
• Manage ML pipeline infrastructure and model deployment workflows
• Oversee LLM agent infrastructure and GPU resource allocation
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for AI/ML workloads
• Apply Infrastructure as Code using modern DevOps practices
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance

System Administration

• Maintain Linux-based server infrastructure
• Apply security best practices and compliance standards
• Manage network configurations, load balancers, and service discovery
• Automate routine tasks and system maintenance

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems
• Familiarity with GitOps and observability tools
• Understanding of GDPR, SOX, and other compliance frameworks
• Experience with Python environments (pip, conda)
• Knowledge of LLM deployment and inference optimization
• Certifications: CKA, CKAD, AWS Architect, etc.
