Supervisor of Supply Chain

Job Summary
The Supervisor of Supply Chain oversees the procurement, distribution, and inventory management of supplies, equipment, and materials necessary for facility operations. This role ensures cost-effective sourcing, efficient supply chain processes, and compliance with regulatory standards. The Director collaborates with leadership to optimize supply chain strategies, negotiate vendor contracts, and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and patient care support.

Essential Functions

• Develops and implements strategic plans for materials management, supply chain operations, and procurement to support organizational goals.
• Oversees inventory control processes to ensure accurate supply levels, minimize waste, and maintain cost efficiency.
• Directs purchasing activities, vendor negotiations, and contract management to secure high-quality products at competitive prices.
• Leads and develops the materials management team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Collaborates with clinical and operational leaders to assess supply needs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and enhance service delivery.
• Utilizes data analytics and reporting tools to monitor supply chain performance, identify trends, and drive informed decision-making.
• Manages relationships with suppliers, distributors, and external partners to ensure reliable and efficient procurement and distribution.
• Develops and oversees department budgets, financial planning, and expense management for materials and supplies.
• Implements and optimizes automated systems and technologies to enhance supply chain efficiency and accuracy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required or
• Seven (7) plus years of direct experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree required
• Master's Degree preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in closely related field with Bachelor's degree required
• 3-5 years of previous leadership experience preferred

Licenses And Certifications

• Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) preferred
