Description

Tx:Team is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mobility Technician to join our Frederick Health Acute Care team. This vital role supports patient mobility, positioning, and basic care activities across critical care, medical-surgical, and other hospital units. The Mobility Technician plays a key part in enhancing patient satisfaction and reducing hospital-acquired risk factors.  This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation and benefits package.

What You’Ll Do:

  • Assist licensed professionals by performing essential non-skilled tasks that support patient treatment.
  • Facilitate patient mobility activities including bed mobility, sitting, transfers, wheelchair use, and ambulation, following hospital-wide mobility protocols.
  • Accurately document mobility interventions and report changes in patient condition or behavior.
  • Participate in patient rounds to identify mobility needs and coordinate care between therapy and nursing staff.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by organizing patient rooms and reporting equipment issues.
  • Adhere to Tx:Team and facility-specific policies, including infection control and safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Educate and coach bedside nursing staff on best practices in mobility care.
  • Provide bedside education to patients, families, and staff.
  • Support therapy and nursing teams with bedside care and education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

  • Energetic and passionate about patient care.
  • Prior experience in a therapy clinic or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communicator with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Comfortable using departmental computer systems.
  • Committed to patient safety and quality care.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One (1) year of rehab or therapy clinic experience preferred, or pursuing a career in rehabilitation
  • Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association (or ability to obtain before start date)
