Senior Project Officer (Technology Transfer) (at the rank of Clerk I) in the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine (Ref. 533444) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in medicine, science, business, or related discipline;
  • At least 3 years of work experience in the relevant industry;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure;
  • Highly motivated, innovative, and hardworking.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in the Technology Transfer Unit within HKUMed, contributing to technology commercialization activities;
  • Collaborate closely with researchers in the faculty, internal departments, and external collaborators to identify and develop faculty/industry collaboration and commercialization opportunities;
  • Organize events to promote commercialization initiatives among the faculty community;
  • Provide support to senior management during meetings and engagements with government offices, organizations, or corporations;
  • Assist in the administration of innovation & technology-related funding schemes;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
