We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team and help shape the future of our growing company. This position will be required to work a hybrid schedule, coming into in Bend, Oregon office 3-4 times a week.
The Senior Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the financial integrity of SYSTM Foods and its family of brands. This role leads month-end close activities, prepares and analyzes financial statements, and collaborates cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, and FP&A.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. You’ll have the opportunity to own accounting processes, drive continuous improvement, and provide insights that support strategic decisions and company growth.
What You’Ll Do
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger across multiple entities.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing insights on performance, variances, and trends.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash, inventory, fixed assets, and intercompany balances.
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and FP&A to analyze costs, inventory movements, and production variances.
- Contribute to budgets, forecasts, and financial metric tracking.
- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring strong internal controls.
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting systems, workflows, and controls (NetSuite experience a plus).
- Prepare audit and tax schedules and assist with external audits.
- Mentor and review work of junior accounting team members.
What You’Ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience (CPG, manufacturing, or multi-entity experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting best practices.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
- CPA license or active candidacy strongly preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
