  • Reports to: Desktop Support Manager
  • Job Location: Williamsport, plant

Hours/Days of Position: Monday – Friday 7AM – 4PM, hour lunch. After hours on-call as needed. 

The Site Services IT Specialist is responsible for delivering on-site IT support and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems at a specific site or region. This role acts as the first point of contact for end-user support, hardware/software troubleshooting, and maintaining IT infrastructure in accordance with company policies and service level agreements. Onsite availability in our local Spartronics office in Williamsport is mandatory Monday – Friday, standard business hours. On-call / After-hours availability as required.

What a Day Looks Like 

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems on-site.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and IT asset tracking in coordination with central IT.
  • Provide hands-on technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and various other devices.
  • Monitor and ensure their respective locations IT systems are operational and efficient. 
  • Utilize established processes and operating instructions to resolve any issues at the local level. 
  • Provide timely resolution to incidents and service requests via ticketing systems.
  • Provide local IT support for corporate and Site driven IT initiatives. 
  • Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and contractors in the implementation of programs or to resolve issues.
  • Ensure site IT compliance with cybersecurity and data protection standards.
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures for the team based on repetitive processes, standard fixes and/or transitioned activities from other areas within IT.

Requirements

What You’Ll Need To Bring:

Education- Bachelor’s degree, technical degree, or relevant military or professional certifications in Information Technology or Computers strongly preferred. 

Experience- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a hands-on, user-facing, support-based environment. 

Skills

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage various deliverables and workload.
  • Attention to detail attitude driven by a sense of urgency problem solving approach.
  • Strong communication skills with the experience and professionalism to confidently handle company user-base, leadership, and internal team resources.
  • Friendly, outgoing, positive attitude with willingness to collaborate and build relationships with team.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Technology Skills-

  • Familiarity with ITSM tools and remote support software
  • Experience with Windows and Office 365 applications. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems with PCs and IT systems onsite and remotely.
