Summary Description

Kingspan Insulation is a leading manufacturer in energy efficiency and moisture management products, offering high performance insulation, building wraps and pre–insulated HVAC ductwork.

The Senior Accountant will report into our Assistant Controller and is responsible for managing and overseeing financial activities within our organization. We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented individual that thrives in a fast-paced evolving organization.

Essential Duties

Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Take the lead in executing month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring the prompt and precise generation of financial reports.
  2. Prepare Journal Entries for month-end and assist with Group YE and Month-end Reporting Packages.
  3. Conduct reconciliation of General Ledger (GL) accounts, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies and variances.
  4. Create and uphold robust internal controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and accounting standards.
  5. Work closely with both internal and external auditors to facilitate collaboration and streamline audit processes.
  6. Identify areas for enhancement in financial processes and controls, implementing improvements to drive efficiency.
  7. Effectively manage the fixed assets register, overseeing the tracking of capital projects.
  8. Complete the data tracker and fulfill other requests from external tax preparers and Group tax, as well as contribute to annual governmental reporting.
  9. Ensuring the business maintains compliance with regard to federal and state taxes as well as other regulatory financial requirements. File monthly sales & use tax with the state.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines are crucial, accompanied by a comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations. Preferably, candidates should have experience with SAP.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree from a four-year university and a minimum of three years of experience in a senior accounting role, with a preference for candidates with manufacturing experience.
  • Proficiency in business computer applications, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). SAP experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and the capacity to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in calculating figures using advanced math skills aligned with a business degree.

Reasoning Skills: Adept at handling interactions with sensitivity, tact, and professionalism. Demonstrates strong customer service skills and possesses the ability to diplomatically resolve problems.
