Summary
This is a Research Coordinator I position that will coordinate and assist with clinical research projects involving children and adolescents with depression and anxiety. The position will manage day-to-day duties, including interviewing, screening, and recruiting patients for studies. This Research Coordinator will also support the regulatory components of the role, as well as database management.
This research focuses on children and adolescents experiencing mental illness, particularly depression and anxiety. Candidates with experience or a strong interest in psychiatry to apply for this coordinator role. Collaboration is essential, as this position involves close teamwork with other research coordinators.
Job Duties
- Manages database, including building out REDCap database and data entry.
- Conducts subject recruitment and retention activities.
- Tracks and schedules clinical assessments.
- Interviews, screens, and recruits patients for clinical research studies through established platforms, including schools, child advocacy centers, and referrals.
- Obtains informed consent forms from patients and families. Explains processes and procedures to educate patients and families regarding the research study.
- Collects subject data; develops and manages tracking systems.
- Collects and reviews patient information; processes documents and enters information into established databases outlined in research protocols.
- Assists the Principal Investigator and other research supervisors with study-related duties, including the preparation of required documents for funding agencies, creation of data collection tools and materials, and conducting literature reviews.
- Administers clinical assessments under the supervision of a trained psychologist.
- Responsible for data quality and creation of data files, including entering data, coding, and scoring of questionnaires or outcome measures in Excel/SPSS.
- Schedules research participants for study visits such as diagnostic/outcome assessments and other study-specific activities described in the research protocol.
- Assists with and submits grant/progress reports to appropriate parties.
- Orders supplies and equipment.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Three years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field is highly preferred. No experience required for candidates who possess bachelor's degree.
Work Authorization Requirement:
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
