Job Overview
This position is responsible to manage and support damaged Parts return which is warranty and quality related forNorth America CE and Forest operation as the main role. This role will also have the responsibility to create ETSI(official quality related report to Plant QA) and checking contents of Parts & Service News (PSN) along with KACpublication team to support releasing the PSN document. Pull out warranty data from SAP and make monthlyreport to share with KLTD plant.Position will also be supporting release Factory Campaign and process to facilitatemachine transfers (in case if Main position requires support).
Scope
Komatsu America receive about 1,200 damage Parts recall request (PRR) from Plant QA. Manage PRR to updatethe latest status and minimize over 30days PRR “Hold” status to expedite Part return lead time.
Submit ETSI with required information getting cooperation with KAC support members
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Parts recall management: Expedite recall lead time having close communication with each DBs keypersons.
Damaged Parts is one of the key activity to reduce lead time of Juhin closure, decide countermeasure/productquality improvement by plant QA.
-Receive parts recall from OEM and process then for release to responsible dealers.
-Follow up progress of recalls working with dealers as well as expedite them.
-Involving implementation of new recall system led by KLTD for evaluation, and support it for launch the systemfor the NA operation for improving of parts recall activities.
2. Submit ETSI : Gathering machine failure information and submit it in timely manner is a trigger to bring fieldcountermeasure. Requires KAC region support/ DBs support to obtain fruitful information from field.
-Submit ETSI when escalation requests are coming from Technical Support Team, and register it to CSL databasefor further follow up with responsible factory QA division.
-Attending of monthly JUHIN call with plant QA for responsible products and components, to follow up actions forresolving quality issues.
-Works closely with the factories to hit Juhin resolution targets. Has accountability with the Juhin qualityresolution.
3. Proceed PSN: Check the PSN and edit/modify it to align KAC market if it is necessary. PSN is official documentto DBs to inform product quality related activity such as factory campaign.
-Receive PSN’s that are released from the factory containing information including instructions and detailsregarding a repair, installation or design change.
-Keeps track of PSN status
-Fill in the required PSN forms
-Assesses how many parts are needed based on PSN
-Reviews and corrects PSN content (both technical and grammatical) and issues
4. Warranty monthly report:
-Pull out SAP claim data and prepare warranty monthly report to share with KLTD Plant QA
5. Support Factory Campaign release and machine transfer:
-Prepare FC’s by reviewing and releasing as the 2nd PIC when responsible manager is absent.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree preferred or minimum of 0-4 years Technical Service experience
- Strong analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills working across multiple syste
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, claims and standard operating procedures. Workingknowledge of electronic data management.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal personnel and Distributors
- Strong proficiency with MS Office, specifically with Word, Excel, Power Point, and Dynamics 365 skills neededto create ad hoc reports. SAP functional skills will be helpful, but not required.
- Ability to work for other department, excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong timemanagement skills
Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $57,900. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
