Job Description
The Senior Systems Administrator – OSCC (Operational Security Command Center) is responsible for the stability, reliability, and performance of the company's servers, workstations, and platforms, both on-premises and in the cloud. You will play a key role in monitoring, maintenance, backup, and incident response, while promoting automation and continuous improvement of hybrid environments.
Your Main Responsibilities Include:
- Ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and storage
- Managing core services: Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, files and print
- Administering cloud and M365 environments (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, identity synchronization)
- Planning and executing patches and updates (OS and applications) with testing and rollback plans
- Overseeing backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures Configure proactive monitoring, participate in incident management and root cause analysis.
- Automate recurring tasks with PowerShell, Bash, or Terraform.
- Maintain the integrity of the CMDB, configurations, and compliance standards.
- Manage access, certificates, and privileged accounts according to established processes.
- Collaborate with the Network, Cybersecurity, and Service Desk teams to ensure SLA compliance.
- Participate in on-call rotations and mentor junior administrators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in hybrid systems administration (on-premises and cloud).
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, M365, and experience in Linux administration.
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), storage, backup, and monitoring tools.
- Advanced automation skills (PowerShell, Bash) and knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience in patch management, backup/restore, and business continuity.
- Solid understanding of ITIL practices in incident and change management.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interteam collaboration skills.
- Rigorous, analytical mindset focused on reliability and continuous improvement.
- Recognized certifications: Microsoft Administrator/Engineer, VMware VCP, RHCSA/RHCE, ITIL Foundation, CompTIA Security+ (asset)
