Payroll Analyst - Job Description
Title: Payroll Analyst
- Reports To: Director Total Rewards
- Location: Blainville, Burnaby, Burlington, Calgary, Milton
The Payroll Analyst shall be responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of policies, programs and procedures for Fix Network. In addition, he/she will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Fix Network by ensuring compliance with all outside regulatory requirements as well as internal policies and procedures. The Payroll Analyst will be required to conduct audits, produce reconciliation reports for the purpose of helping Fix Network growth and sustainability.

Job Duties
- Compile Human Resources reports and data including Payroll, Benefits and HR information.
- Process Bi-weekly payroll for Canada and US.
- Reconcile account balances for the purpose of maintaining accurate account balances and complying with related policies, practices and/or regulations.
- Complete regular internal audits to verify accuracy of information and compliance with corporate rules and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain Payroll, Benefits and Human Resources information and related records systems.
- Ensure compliance with provincial, state and federal tax registration and requirements.
- Leading the development, reporting and review of Payroll and HR metrics to developing standard monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- Provide support in strategic planning.
- Provide quantitative data analysis and data visualization for use in data-based decision making and business development.
- Ensure the integrity of Human Resource systems through upgrades and security monitoring.
- Assists in the review, testing, and implementation of system updates/releases including updating processes and training on new processes.
- Maintaining taxable benefits files.
- Process and reconcile monthly and quarterly benefit invoices.
- Develop and deliver benefits communications to employees.
- Perform other duties, relevant to the position, as necessary.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business or Human Resources.
- 5-7 years' experience in a Payroll or Human Resources role required.
- Must be fully bilingual - French.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
- Proving ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems quickly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, MS Word).
- Advanced skills in Excel including vlookups and pivot tables.
Work Conditions
- 5 days in office work setting.
- Overtime, as required.
- Travel may be required.
