Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As a Project Manager, you will lead cross-functional teams to deliver technology initiatives that drive member and business value. You’ll facilitate agile delivery practices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget. We’re looking for a candidate with strong leadership, communication, and agile delivery experience who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
This is a permanent, full-time role that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. We are also open to candidates with the right skills or experience based in Ontario.
How You'Ll Make An Impact:
- Lead cross-functional teams (e.g. business leaders, subject matter experts, and/or third-party resources) through the end-to-end agile project delivery lifecycle to achieve business objectives
- Facilitate Scrum processes as a servant leader for one or more Agile teams, ensuring Scrum practices are understood and followed. Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Negotiate and collaborate with vendors and system implementors at all levels while managing vendor financial and operational performance against contractual requirements
- Plan and deliver projects within scope, budget, time and expected benefits while following the appropriate Vancity Project Delivery methodology and guidelines
- Foster relationships with Sponsor(s) and senior stakeholders to ensure business needs and initiative deliverables/outcomes are in alignment. Proactively mitigate and escalate issues for joint resolution with Technology and Business stakeholders.
- Appropriately select an implementation methodology (i.e. Kanban, Scrum Hybrid) based on the nature of the work and other organizational factors
- Identify and work to resolve delivery dependencies within assigned project, the broader Strategic/Technology Initiatives portfolio and Operational priorities
- Capture and monitor delivery metrics and work to continuously improve quality, velocity and time to market
- Coach, facilitate, motivate and coordinate project team resources, influencing them and their teams to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
- Contribute to the improvement of project management best practices across the enterprise and help drive consistency, transparency and execution on projects
- Provide clear, timely and accurate communications to the project team members on all aspects of the project, including decisions made by senior management
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Minimum 5 years of experience delivering technology initiatives
- Proven track record of successful project delivery in agile environments
- PMI designation or equivalent
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience facilitating agile ceremonies and guiding Scrum teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve delivery dependencies
Extra Skills That Set You Apart:
- Experience working in the Financial Services or Financial Technologies industries
- CSM (Certified Scrum Master)
- PgMP designation or similar
- ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) designation or similar
- Lean Six Sigma certification / training
- Prosci or similar Organizational Change Management training

What You’ll Earn:
This role offers a salary range of $81,200 to $122,000 per annum. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
