Job Description
Responsible for organizing, training and leading daily activities of a manufacturing team consisting of production operators. Lead the production team's daily start-up meeting, establish job rotation. Conducts on-the-job training and maintains required training documentation for all employees assigned to the work cells. Guides the team in the development and use of standard work instructions. Ensures team achieves daily 5S+1, quality, delivery, Kaizen, and cost goals. Makes recommendations for individual recognition for goal achievement and contributions. Ensures individual and team compliance to established policies and procedures. Must be able to perform the essential job functions of a Manufacturing Associate operator as required.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for organizing, training, and leading daily activities of a manufacturing team consisting of production operators.
- Lead the production team’s daily start-up meeting, ergonomic work, and establishes job rotation.
- Conducts on-the-job training and maintains required training documentation for all employees assigned to the work cells.
- Guides the team in the development and use of standard work instructions.
- Performs first response troubleshooting and minor first line maintenance activities during production line down.
- Ensures team achieves daily 5S+1, quality, delivery, Kaizen, and cost goals.
- Makes recommendations for individual recognition for goal achievement and contributions.
- Employs various problem-solving techniques (5 Why, etc.) to drive problems to permanent corrective action.
- Drives Kaizen activities to ensure continuous improvement within the work cells.
- Ensures individual and team compliance to established policies and procedures.
- Leads the team in completion of required preventative maintenance activities.
- Performs cell audits and inspections and follows-up on abnormalities; charts/tracks team progress.
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions of a Manufacturing Associate operator as required. Perform Daily Scrap Verification and Disposal Routines and provide coaching to team about Scrap related processes
- Makes recommendations for individual recognition for goal achievement and contributions.
- Employs various problem-solving techniques (5 Why, etc.) to drive problems to permanent corrective action.
- Drives Kaizen activities to ensure continuous improvement within the work cells.
- Ensures individual and team compliance to established policies and procedures.
- Performs cell audits and inspections and follows-up on abnormalities; charts/tracks team progress.
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions of a Manufacturing Associate operator as required.

Night Shift:
4 days on 4 days off, rotating schedule 9:30pm-8:00am
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age. • Experience training manufacturing associates.
- Experience utilizing continuous improvement measures.
- Intermediate computer skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- 3+ years’ experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment.
- Maintains a safe work environment.
- Adheres to quality standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effectively communicates with team members & leadership.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted.
- Must be able to stand for periods up to 10+ hours.
