Job Description
Do you have a passion for sales and event management? We are seeking a Sales of Groups and Events Executive to join our team at Novotel Malta Sliema. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, enjoys building client relationships, and is motivated by achieving results.
You will be responsible for managing group bookings, coordinating events, and supporting sales initiatives to maximise occupancy and event space usage.
About The Role
Reporting to the Sales & Events leadership team, you will manage group and event enquiries from start to finish, ensuring smooth coordination across departments and delivering memorable experiences for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage group reservations, including corporate, leisure, and tour groups.
- Coordinate event bookings such as meetings, conferences, and banquets.
- Communicate with clients to understand and fulfil accommodation and event needs.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and function sheets.
- Liaise with internal departments (F&B, Front Office, Housekeeping) to ensure smooth event execution.
- Monitor group blocks and event schedules, ensuring accurate billing.
- Conduct site visits and maintain strong client relationships.
- Contribute to achieving sales targets and maximising occupancy and event space usage.
- 1–3 years’ experience in hotel sales, reservations, or events (preferred).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills.
- Proficient in booking/reservation systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform under pressure.
- A proactive, team-oriented, and results-driven mindset.
