Location:  This position will be based out of our Winnipeg or Toronto office.

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Senior Vice-President, Operations, the Business Systems Support is responsible for application support, including configuration activities, testing and trade-related activities on the wealth management platform (Envestnet).

This role will ensure that trades are processed correctly, identify and resolve any issues in a timely manner and maintain smooth communication between internal teams, advisors and external partners.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Trade Inquiry & Support
  • Address and resolve trade discrepancies or errors, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to identify solutions.
  • Systems Management
  • Responsible for updating transactional data in the administration system daily to ensure the data meets the needs of our advisor teams.
  • Facilitates customization changes per branch (basic report configuration, client information fields customization, etc.).
  • Monitor platform performance and trade execution to identify potential issues before they impact clients.
  • Support system updates and enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and functionality.
  • Responsible for elevated controls surrounding user management of the Envestnet system.
  • Will perform regular audits into user assignments and will support Service Desk with changes requested.
  • Daily Support and Documentation
  • Identify, document, report, and track system issues (related to data and performance).
  • Collaborate with the Service Desk team when there are outages or service issues reported.
  • Manages escalation of feedback from key users.
  • Provide support for functional questions as raised by the advisor teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive system documentation, as well as process & procedure capture and continual improvement.
  • Reconciliation, Quality Control, and Reporting
  • Collaborate with key departments on reconciliation activities to align data across the various systems.
  • Responsible for generating and presenting monthly reports around topics such as user engagement, system performance, etc.
  • Ensure that all trades and support activities are compliant with company policies, industry standards and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 years’ financial services industry experience working in a high growth environment.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a customer/client-service facing role.
  • Experience in wealth management or other regulated industry is a strong asset.
  • CSC is considered an asset.
  • CFP is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with the MSOffice suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Experience with various collaborative workflow tools (JIRA, etc.).
  • Experience with Envestnet/Croesus preferred.
