  • Location: Southwark, London, Hybrid  

About The Position

This is a pivotal commercial role within Flora Food Group (FFG). As our Key Account Manager – UK Discounters, you will lead growth across one of the most dynamic and fast-evolving retail channels in the market. 

You will manage and develop partnerships with key discounter customers — including Iceland, Home Bargains, and others — to expand the reach of our iconic plant-based brands such as Flora, ProActiv, and Elmlea. This channel is critical to FFG’s UKI growth ambitions, blending scale, agility, and shopper reach across frozen, chilled, and ambient categories. 

You’ll deliver your targets through strategic account management, building high-impact relationships, and creating customer business plans that maximise opportunity and profitability. This hybrid role involves working three days per week from our London office in Southwark. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

Strategic Account Management:

  • Oversee P&L performance for UK Discounter accounts, delivering financially optimised results.
  • Develop annual customer business plans that drive brand visibility, volume growth, and category leadership.
  • Identify and deliver short-term wins and long-term growth strategies within the discounter landscape. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with the Category and Insights teams to analyse channel dynamics and uncover new opportunities.
  • Work with Supply Chain to ensure excellent service levels, on-shelf availability, and seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Revenue Growth to develop tailored promotions, activations, and NPD launches that resonate with discounter shoppers. 

Stakeholder Engagement And Reporting:

  • Build and nurture trusted relationships with buying, trading, and supply teams across the discounter customer base.
  • Report to the Business Unit Lead, contributing to the overall UKI commercial strategy and channel planning process. 

What Does It Take to Be Successful? 

  • Experience and Expertise: Proven experience as a Key Account Manager within FMCG, ideally managing discounter or value retail accounts such as Iceland or Home Bargains. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with a track record of achieving ambitious sales and P&L targets.Commercial Acumen: A results-oriented, commercially astute mindset. Holds yourself and others accountable for performance. Proactive in identifying solutions and driving profitability through creative and strategic thinking.
  • Quality-Oriented and Insightful: Committed to delivering high-quality solutions and exceptional customer experiences. Able to interpret shopper and market data, translating insights into actionable growth strategies.
  • Innovation & Adaptable and Dynamic: Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Demonstrates agility, initiative, and collaboration to deliver outstanding business results.
