Our Executive Director serves as the chief executive of the Blue Boost Center, a Family Resource Center (FRC) and is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and management of the organization. The Executive Director ensures the delivery of high-quality programs and services that strengthen and support families in the community. This role involves community engagement, staff supervision, financial management, and partnership development. This individual will be charged with executing on the vision for the Blue Boost centers, including developing relationships with community partners that are focused on serving those seeking assistance to boost their future (life, situation) and eventually achieve Financial Independence.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership While reporting to the Blue FCU COO, provide strategic guidance and direction for the design and development of Blue Boost Centers; work to build a sustainable model of community partnerships to formulate and support solutions for those we serve. Through grant research and community partners ensure a funding model that will support the Boost Center. This includes knowledge about local, state, and national issues/trends that impact the work of the Boost Center. Work closely with management and Board of Directors on planning for the long-term future of the Boost Center. Create and execute long-term strategies. Manage the annual/monthly budget for the Boost Center. Recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Public Relations & Community Relations Build and maintain a Blue Boost Center public relations and branding campaign (with the assistance of Blue Federal Credit Union marketing staff) Seek and build partnerships with local non-profits to create a synergy circle of services for those we serve in the Blue Boost Centers. Represent the organization in the community and with partner agencies.
- Candidate Profile-Successful candidate will be: A leader who can operationalize the Blue Boost Center’s social impact goals with bold, creative, efficient, and effective tactics. Experienced with developing individual and/or family resource centers. Someone who has a wide circle of influence and can gain the trust and cooperation of others at all levels of local and state government, and non-profit partners in each community. An enthusiastic and charismatic leader who will effectively advocate for the social impact priorities of the Blue Boost Center and is committed to changing hearts and building pathways to positive futures.
Knowledge And Skills
Experience
Five years to eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Education or General Business preferred. ACE Certified, Family Engagement Training, Poverty Training 5 or more years of non-profit management experience or experience serving those in need through community programs.
Interpersonal Skills
The ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust. Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequently complex, senior level dialogues, as well as a professional level of written communication skills are essential to the position.
Other Skills
Efficiency with common grant application, and Standard Form SF-424 Demonstrated leadership and management in relation to community and family resource centers. Proficient management of non-profit public relations and key stakeholder initiatives Demonstrated strong fundraising talent and experience.
Full Time Position
Full Range: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00

Physical Requirements
Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Working Conditions
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
Mental and/or Emotional Requirements
Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
