Job Description
Come work for the Center for Global Education and Experience (CGEE) in the Study Abroad and Away Office! This position works alongside the Study Abroad/Away Advisor, as well as our CGEE staff, creating international experiences for Auggies. Ideally, candidates are currently sophomores or juniors. If you are a driven, culturally sensitive student with experience in marketing, administration, and public speaking, this could be the perfect fit for you!
Responsibilities
- Checking emails, data entry, web updates, and general office work
- Advising prospective study abroad/away students who need general information regarding study abroad programs and processes
- Assist the study abroad/away advisor with study abroad promotion, including class presentations, information sessions, social media, and print media design and distribution
Scheduling & Hours
- 3-4 days per week
- Average of 10-15 hours per week
- Academic year and summer hours available
Compensation And Benefits
- Rate of Pay: $15.97/hour
- Minnesota Sick and Safe Time
- Not eligible for health insurance benefits
Qualifications
- Students must be currently enrolled at Augsburg and must be work-study eligible or international students on F-1 visa.
- Able to lift at least 20 pounds
- Experience creating promotional materials, including flyers, posters, and social media posts
- Strong administrative skills involving the ability to balance multiple projects at once
- Skilled in the use of Google Suite
Preferred
- Study abroad experience
- Comfortable presenting in front of large and small groups
