Modern Niagara building services is currently seeking a Critical Facilities Coordinator to join the Building Services Operations team. The Critical Facilities Coordinator is responsible for bring innovation and data-backed strategies to building services and operations of critical infrastructure systems within a facility. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities to support both operational reliability and strategic planning.
Overview Of Responsibilities:
- Develop a maintenance program to collect, analyze and report facility data to make informed decisions for continuous improvement.
- Develop and schedule routine maintenance activities in collaboration with mechanical team for critical systems, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical components.
- Coordinate audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols for critical facilities.
- Promote safe work environment by ensuring accessible safety policies, incident documentations, emergency response procedures, weekly safety toolbox talk and daily work huddles.
- Lead in documentation control for documents related to facility operations, communication, contracts, reports, mechanical drawings, workflow processes and maintenance records.
- Coordinate with external clients and contractors to facilitate maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to critical infrastructure systems.
- Develop, share and present internal and external communications and reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor team progress to ensure alignment with roadmap timelines and strategic plans.
- Provide related administrative support to operations team.
Qualifications And Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Software), Sciences, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in process documentation and report writing.
- Knowledge in data analysis tools e.g. Excel, Power Bi, SQL, or Python.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in administrative software and tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite and facility management systems.
- Experience in process optimization and software driven operational improvements.
- Proven leadership to build and motivate teams.
- Strong team player.
- Client service and customer focus to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers.
- Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS), industry regulations and best practices.
- Experience in facilities management.
- Experience with BC building codes.
- Trades Certification.
- Familiar with legal compliance and building regulations.
- Experience with financial reporting for maintenance and projects; budgeting and inventory management.
- Experience with contract interpretation and compliance requirements.
