Position Summary
The Senior People Services Generalist is a key member of the PS team responsible for delivering a wide range of human resources services across the employee lifecycle. This role serves as the UKG system administrator and technology power user, ensuring data integrity, efficient process management, and system optimization. The Senior PS Generalist supports both day-to-day PS operations and strategic initiatives, with a strong focus on employee experience, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Primary functions & essential responsibilities
HR Systems & Data Management
- Serve as the UKG (UltiPro) System Administrator and Power User, managing system configuration, workflows, permissions, and reporting.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all PS modules, including onboarding, benefits, performance, and timekeeping.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics to support PS metrics and leadership insights.
- Partners with IT and UKG to support and troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and support system updates.
Employee Lifecycle Administration
- Manage the new hire onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience from offer acceptance through first day.
- Coordinate pre-employment background checks and drug screens, maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Administer offboarding activities, including exit documentation, system access removal, and coordination of final pay and benefits.
Benefits & Leave Administration
- Serve as primary Benefits Administrator, overseeing enrollments, life event changes, and inquiries throughout the year.
- Coordinate and manage annual Open Enrollment, including communication materials, system setup, and employee support.
- Administer and track Leaves of Absence (FMLA, state, personal, and other leaves), ensuring compliance and timely communication with employees and managers.
Employee Wellness & Engagement
- Collaborate with company leaders and vendors to coordinate, oversee, and follow up on the yearly employee engagement survey.
- Manage and promote the company’s wellness program, including vendor relationships, wellness challenges, and employee communications.
- Track participation metrics and recommend new initiatives to support employee wellbeing.
Learning & Development Support
- Provide operational and administrative support to the Learning & Development team, including scheduling training sessions, tracking attendance, and maintaining learning records in UKG or other systems.
- Assist with rollout of new learning initiatives and employee development programs.
Performance Management
- Support the rollout and execution of the annual performance appraisal process, ensuring all employees and managers understand timelines, tools, and expectations.
- Partner with HR leadership to configure performance workflows and forms within UKG.
- Provide guidance to managers on performance documentation, goal setting, and calibration processes.
- Track completion rates, generate reports, and identify trends or areas for follow-up and process improvement.
General Hr Support
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and HR processes with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Participate in HR projects and process improvement efforts as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state and local employment laws and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 6+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years in a generalist or HR operations capacity.
- SHRM-CP or HRCI-PHR certification preferred.
- Demonstrated experience implementing and administering HRIS platforms.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, processes, benefits administration, compliance and employment law.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with HR analytics/reporting preferred.

Range (Seattle): $74K-$101K
