About Us
Cirrus is a HaaS technology-enabled electronics provider that is changing the signage industry by building the first on-premise marketing platform to empower every brick-and-mortar business to grow. We initiated our mission with the goal of designing and producing outdoor digital signage more affordably. Now, Cirrus extends beyond just signage, offering an integrated solution that includes indoor and outdoor displays, content management, sensor technology, analytics software, and proactive hardware monitoring. These elements work together to deliver actionable insights, enabling businesses to make data-driven decisions for their growth and operational efficiency.
Our product portfolio is diverse, featuring five unique lines tailored to meet various business requirements: Outdoor Displays, Digital Window Posters, Media Players, People Counters, and Car Trackers. These are all interconnected through our cloud-based software platform, ScreenHub. ScreenHub is an intuitive digital signage software crafted to simplify content management and sign operation for our clients. Together, we're reshaping the future of customer engagement and experience in the signage industry.
About The Role
As a Mechanical Systems Engineer - Fabrication & Production, you will lead the design and industrialization of a scalable sheet metal cabinet system used to mount our next generation of outdoor LED displays. This role blends hands-on mechanical design in SolidWorks with deep involvement in factory production, from developing precise assemblies and mechanical interfaces to designing tooling, jigs, and robotic fabrication processes that enable high-volume, repeatable manufacturing. You’ll work cross-functionally with product design, automation, and production teams to bring your designs from concept through to full-scale fabrication, ensuring the system meets stringent requirements for durability, cost efficiency, and manufacturability. This is a highly technical and creative role for an engineer who thrives at the intersection of design innovation and real-world production execution. This role is on-site in our Dallas location.
Role Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable sheet metal cabinet systems for outdoor LED display mounting using SolidWorks.
- Translate mechanical concepts into production-ready designs with precise tolerances and repeatable fabrication methods.
- Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams to design and optimize robotic bending, cutting, and assembly processes.
- Create detailed drawings, BOMs, and work instructions to ensure seamless handoff to manufacturing.
- Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate designs to meet structural, thermal, and environmental performance targets.
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in design-to-production workflows to accelerate time to market.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to balance performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Maintain a relentless focus on throughput, scalability, and production efficiency.
Role Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for sheet metal design and mechanical assemblies.
- Experience with fabrication techniques, including laser cutting, press brake forming, welding, and powder coating.
- Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and production line optimization.
- Ability to work quickly from concept to prototype to production with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable collaborating with automation engineers and production technicians on the factory floor.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a bias toward action, iteration, and delivery.
What Success Looks Like
- Designs move from digital drafting tools to production rapidly and with minimal rework.
- You bring energy and enthusiasm to building, growing, changing and evolving systems and products.
- Robotic fabrication processes are implemented efficiently and consistently produce high-quality parts.
- Cabinet systems are modular, scalable, and optimized for cost and ease of assembly.
- Engineering documentation and processes support repeatable, high-throughput manufacturing.
- The engineer demonstrates ownership, urgency, and a focus on execution that accelerates company growth.
