Job Description

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, control panels, and outlets.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical systems, equipment, and machinery.
• Repair or replace defective components such as circuit breakers, switches, wiring, or motors.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with safety and regulatory standards.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guest rooms, public areas, and other departments
• Support the Engineering team during power outages, generator operations, and emergency repairs
• Assist with the maintenance of resort utilities such as generators, desalination plants, sewage treatment systems, and lighting networks
• Work closely with other trades (plumbing, HVAC, mechanical) to ensure coordinated maintenance activities.
• Assist in new installations, upgrades, and renovations involving electrical systems and equipment
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Install electrical systems for new villas, staff accommodations, or back-of-house facilities as required.
• Follow all safety procedures and ensure proper use of tools and protective equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop and work environment.
• Report any unsafe conditions, faulty equipment, or potential hazards immediately.
• Adhere to resort and government electrical standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a five-star luxury Hotel / Resort.  
• Must have the appropriate documented training from a technical/vocational institute.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Able to communicate in English.
