Lambda, The Superintelligence Cloud, builds Gigawatt-scale AI Factories for Training and Inference. Lambda’s mission is to make compute as ubiquitous as electricity and give every person access to artificial intelligence. One person, one GPU.
If you'd like to build the world's best deep learning cloud, join us.
Travel: 50% , Travel required to various data center sites.
What You’Ll Do:
As a Data Center Implementation Project Manager, you will independently lead the execution of complex data center infrastructure projects, reporting to the Director of Data Center Capacity and Engineering and collaborating closely with the Data Center Implementation Manager. You will oversee full project lifecycles — from design coordination to site deployment — across colocation fit-outs, high-density compute expansions, and infrastructure upgrades.
You will leverage your technical depth and judgment to anticipate risks, resolve field challenges, and align cross-functional teams across engineering, supply chain, and operations. This role requires proactive decision-making, clear stakeholder communication, and strong command of project execution fundamentals. You will help shape implementation standards as Lambda continues to scale world-class AI infrastructure globally.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution:
- Drive implementation of large-scale colocation and white space fit-out projects. Lead day-to-day execution across multiple vendors and internal workstreams. Proactively identify risks and apply sound judgment to resolve complex issues.
Technical Design & Coordination:
- Participate in and influence design reviews, ensuring constructability and alignment with Lambda’s data center standards. Translate MEP and architectural designs into executable field plans with clear scopes, sequences, and accountability.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including status reports, schedules, submittal logs, and change tracking. Own updates to project management systems and ensure accurate reflection of cost, schedule, and risk status.
Vendor & Contractor Management:
- Interface directly with general contractors, commissioning agents, and OEM partners to ensure timely delivery and quality execution. Evaluate and escalate performance issues appropriately, balancing accountability with collaboration.
Ofci Equipment & Procurement Support:
- Oversee coordination and delivery of OFCI (Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed) equipment. Anticipate logistical challenges, ensure readiness for site integration, and maintain alignment between procurement, engineering, and field teams.
Site Oversight & Quality Control:
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, validate workmanship, and enforce safety and compliance standards. Capture and communicate deviations promptly with actionable resolution plans.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate project updates and risks effectively to leadership and stakeholders across multiple functions. Prepare meeting materials, summarize key decisions, and drive follow-through on action items.
Schedule And Budget Management:
- Track and forecast progress against milestones, budgets, and resource allocations. Recommend course corrections and contingency plans when deviations occur.
Cross-Functional Alignment:
- Partner with Network Engineering, Data Center Operations, HPC, Supply Chain, and TPM teams to ensure seamless coordination across buildout, commissioning, and handoff phases.
Process Development & Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements in project delivery workflows, documentation standards, and vendor management practices. Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
