The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to be a critical player in the Business Operations – G&A group. We are a central hub within Revolution Medicines that partners with the Corporate G&A functions – Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Information Systems, Corporate Affairs and Facilities – helping to drive organizational readiness plans for commercialization and beyond, supporting G&A leadership with organization-wide initiatives, and leading evolution of business processes and operations infrastructure to enable scalability and growth.

The ideal candidate leverages their biotech/pharmaceutical industry and G&A experience to serve as business operations partner and internal consultant to our G&A functions. This individual will leverage a variety of approaches, methodologies, tools and project management experience to enable G&A teams to deliver on initiatives, increase their capacity and conduct their work more effectively.  This person can anticipate and provide workable solutions to balance efficiency while maintaining the agility to flex as plans evolve. This person not only cares about the outcomes, but also how we get there.

As a key member of our team, reporting to the Director of Business Operations - G&A, you will: 

  • Partner with Director, Business Operations G&A to scope and define key G&A project frameworks, including developing project plans, identifying stakeholders, mapping timelines/milestones, outlining change management and communications approaches.
  • Develop strong, collaborative relationships with G&A team leads to align on project plans, prioritize activities, resolve issues and communicate progress; influencing G&A leadership decisions as needed to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and priorities.
  • Independently manage projects involving cross-functional business process improvement initiatives.
  • Leverage knowledge of relevant G&A business operations and systems to optimize processes and ways of working within teams and cross-functionally.
  • Lead meetings and workshops; coordinate with cross-functional team representatives to ensure delivery of project strategy, goals, deliverables and timelines.
  • Identify potential risks and issues impacting the success of projects and partner cross-functionally to develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  • Think creatively about how to streamline processes and communication flows to improve the overall effectiveness of projects and project teams.
  • Create and manage visual process flow documentation (e.g. cross-functional process maps) and tools (e.g. project trackers) that support business processes and projects.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, plans, timelines, meeting minutes and reports.
  • Manage and/or work with external consultants engaged on key projects.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment and generate clarity in ambiguous situations
  • Positively contribute to team member development, infrastructure & growth within the Business Operations group.

Required Skills, Experience And Education:

  • BS/BA degree in related discipline and 11+ years of related experience; or Master’s degree in related discipline and 9+ years of related experience​.
  • Previous experience in G&A operations (e.g. Finance, Legal, HR), business operations, operational excellence, project management or similar operations role in a biotech/pharmaceutical organization; ​experience managing cross-functional initiatives with company-wide impact.
  • Working knowledge of key G&A business processes and systems supporting Finance, Legal, HR and Procurement; including interdependencies between G&A teams.
  • Innovative, proactive, and collaborative team-player with high energy to keep pace with our growing and evolving company environment.
  • Ability to not only dive into details to drive project execution and make connections across projects and project teams, but also ability to zoom out to contextualize specific recommendations and/or actions needed.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-minded, results-oriented, and driven to complete projects on time with high quality.
  • Adaptable, proactive personality style that can prioritize work, quickly adapt to changing conditions.
  • Able to function independently in a fluid environment under tight timelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including clear, succinct, and timely communications.
  • Proven ability to foster positive relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to summarize complex information into simple concepts.
  • Strong computer proficiency with MS Office, collaboration and document management systems (e.g. Teams, Egnyte, Confluence) and workflow applications and visualization tools (e.g. Visio, LucidCharts, mindmaps).
  • Experience using Project Management software to manage project timelines and resources (e.g., MS Project, SmartSheet, OfficeTimeline, OnePager Pro, etc.).

Preferred Skills:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or other PM certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Prior management consulting experience is a plus.
  • Prior international business operations experience within biotech/pharmaceutical is a plus. #LI-Hybrid  #LI-YG1

The base pay salary range for this full-time position for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA is listed below. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the base pay salary range for an individual working onsite in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based in. Our base pay salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual base pay salary is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
