The Purpose:
We're looking for a Customer Funds Finance Analyst to play a crucial part in our EMEA finance team. In this role, you'll be the expert behind our customer funds reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness every step of the way. You'll get to dive deep into our balance sheets, preparing summaries for key accounts and leading the charge on our monthly EMEA customer funds reconciliation.
This isn't just about numbers - it's about becoming a trusted partner to the business and ensuring we maintain financial integrity. Beyond core accounting responsibilities, this role is crucial in driving continuous improvement within the finance function, contributing significantly to system enhancements, process optimisation, and the implementation of automation initiatives to strengthen financial accuracy, compliance and operational efficiency. You will be an integral part of our Accounting team that is composed of other passionate Accounting teams, with colleagues located in London, Munich, Luxembourg and Sao Paolo.

Your Impact In This Role:
- Responsible for accurate monthly accounting for EMEA customer funds positions within accounts receivable, accounts payable and cash.
- Drive global customer funds reconciliation processes and standardisation.
- Development of monthly reconciliations with explanations of key variances, investigating differences in a timely manner
- Maintain intercompany customer funds reconciliations
- Act as the primary contact person for customer funds related queries in year-end audits
- Support subledger system enhancements, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency gains whilst ensuring accounting accuracy is maintained.
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of customer funds financial processes, identifying bottlenecks and implementing streamlined solutions.
What Would Make You A Great Fit:
- Accounting qualification preferred
- 1-2 years post qualification experience in finance
- Solid knowledge of financial reporting and analysis with an accounting/reconciliation focus.
- Experience working with large data sets using tools such as google big query, SQL and AI.
- Experience in payments industry/client funds preferred
- Good communication skills and ability to work with remote teams
- Excel skills (advanced)
- ERP/Finance systems experience (preferred Microsoft Dynamics, Netsuite, Xero)
