About The Role

As an Apprentice Product Development Technician, you’ll be at the heart of our laboratory operations. You’ll work on the initial type testing and ongoing verification of Asphalt materials across the UK, while also contributing to the development of new technologies and products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and test new Asphalt materials to meet performance specifications
  • Conduct over 40 UKAS-accredited tests in line with industry standards
  • Investigate material complaints and produce detailed technical reports
  • Manage your own projects and provide support across the technical team
  • Participate in research and development of innovative products

What We’re Looking For

  • GCSEs including Maths and English
  • Ideally, some experience in a UKAS-accredited lab (full training provided)
  • Familiarity with Office 365, Lastrada, or Gradlab is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • A reliable team player with a proactive attitude
  • Work in a nationally recognised laboratory
  • Gain hands-on experience and industry-recognised training
