Summary of the role

As a QA Engineer, you will design, implement, and execute comprehensive test strategies that validate the functionality, performance, and accuracy of software products built on com-plex optimization models. You’ll partner closely with developers, data scientists, and product managers to ensure our solutions meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

What You’Ll Do

• Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for product fea-tures and optimization models.
• Validate correctness and performance of mathematical optimization results.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across services and UIs.
• Translate product requirements into risk-based test strategies and traceability.
• Identify, document, and track defects using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira); drive de-fects to closure.
• Automate tests where appropriate to improve efficiency, coverage, and reliability (e.g., API/UI frameworks, data-driven tests, pipelines).
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices (reviews, standards, metrics).
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices throughout the SDLC.
• About the ideal candidate
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or re-lated field.
• 3+ years of experience in software QA, preferably in technical or scientific domains.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and SDLC.
• Experience testing applications involving mathematical models, optimization algo-rithms, or data analytics.
• Familiarity with programming/scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript or similar).
• Hands-on with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with optimization libraries (e.g., Gurobi, CPLEX, or similar).
• Understanding of linear programming, mixed-integer programming, or other optimi-zation techniques.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform).
