The role of an Associate Relationship Manager (Associate RM) is linked to the respective internal development programme. It is therefore a transitional role for a limited period of time (generally 3 years), with the overall aim of the Associate RM becoming a Relationship Manager (RM) after the successful completion of the programme. The present role profile describes the key features of the position towards the end of the programme, not at the very beginning. The Associate RM is part of a front team and serves intermediaries & family offices clients of the Bank in close collaboration with one or several senior Relationship Managers, other team members, and specialists. This entails the delivery of comprehensive wealth management solutions to meet the clients’ needs as well as dealing with routine enquiries and transactions. Acquisition of new client relationships through his/her network is an additional, integral element of the role.

Your Challenge

  • Ensures that accurate and high-quality client relationship documentation formalities are met and maintained to a high standard at all times including client identification documentation (CDB), account opening forms and other relevant legal forms
  • Attract prospects, proactively build up an own client book, and retain existing clients in close collaboration with other team members
  • Proactively ask for support, feedback, and guidance from other relationship managers in the team in developing and maintaining successful client relationships
  • Respond to all client needs in the highest possible quality and in a timely manner
  • Provide appropriate advice in collaboration with specialists (when needed) and in line with internal policies and guidelines while meeting external rules and regulations
  • Deepen client relationships and continuously optimise client’s potential revenues through the acquisition of additional share of wallet / cross-selling
  • Tailor communication frequency and intensity to align with client preferences.
  • Ensure highest level of data security (CID / data privacy) through access management
  • Provide accurate client relationship documentation formalities at all times including client identification documentation (CDB), account opening forms and other relevant legal forms
  • Take up client feedback regarding products and services with the relevant specialists within the Bank to ensure continuous improvement and adaptation in line with market trends
  • Monitor and mitigate potential risks, serving as the first line of defense for both the Bank and its clients
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives (e.g. to optimise key processes or support new product initiatives)
  • Participate actively in the Associate RM development programme and engage in the Associate RM Community to share

  • Ability to match client needs with appropriate product solutions

Education & Experience

  • Higher education (e.g. master’s degree of University, MBA, CFA) or other educational background combined with relevant professional experience
  • Proven track record of 3-5 years’ work experience (preferably in the financial industry) or completion of the Julius Baer front graduate programme
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written), additional languages as per market requirements are advantageous
