We are currently looking for a Senior Tax Analyst – Indirect Tax to join our team in Franklin, TN.

A Day In The Life:

  • Responsibility for all aspects of sales, use, excise, gross receipts, and property tax compliance and reporting.
  • Filing sales, use, excise, gross receipts, and property tax returns for various company entities.
  • Working with staff level Tax Analysts to ensure all returns are prepared correctly and timely, and reviewed before presenting to Tax Manager for approval.
  • Coordinating the filing and payment of sales and property tax returns with a third-party provider.
  • Conducting analysis, researching compliance issues, reviewing options, and recommending actions.
  • Participating in all aspects of audits in coordination with Tax Manager, including initial audit meetings and responses to information requests.
  • Compiling and reviewing supporting documentation for audits and providing pre-audit research and analysis. 
  • Assisting with timing and scope of audits, coordinating and reviewing audit documentation, researching technical issues, and defending company tax positions.
  • Providing guidance, training, and instruction for staff level Tax Analysts.
  • Overseeing the completion of projects, including planning, assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work.
  • Providing timely responses to questions and information requests from both internal and external customers.

Who We’Re Looking For:

  • Minimum of five years of current experience with sales, use, excise, gross receipts and property tax compliance and reporting with a major accounting firm or large multi-state corporation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Tax from an accredited university with an CPA, CMI, or MBA preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and/or MS Access, Vertex, and ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
