About This Role
The Master Data Governance Lead will establish and operationalize the company’s data governance framework to improve data quality, consistency, and trust across the organization. This role will play a critical part in maturing our data environment setting the foundation for analytics, reporting, and data-driven business decision making.
You will lead efforts to define data ownership, implement governance processes, and work with business and technical teams to ensure critical data domains (i.e Product, Customer, and other master data) are well-managed, secure, and fit for purpose.
This is a highly collaborative and hands-on role requiring both strategic thinking and practical execution in a complex, evolving data landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and processes to improve data quality, consistency, and stewardship.
- Partner with business units to identify data owners and stewards; clarify roles and accountability for data domains and key business entities.
- Lead initiatives to improve master data quality for critical domains such as Product, Customer, and Supplier; work with IT and business teams to define golden records and data integration rules.
- Design and oversee data quality measurement processes and dashboards; define KPIs for data completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Implement and maintain a business glossary and data catalog to increase data discoverability and shared understanding across the company.
- Define and enforce policies for data access, usage, retention, and compliance.
- Partner with analytics and business teams to promote data literacy and educate teams on governance standards and best practices.
- Work closely with data engineering, analytics, and business leaders to align governance with system design, reporting, and analytical use cases.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors’ degree or 4+ years of experience in data management, governance, or analytics roles
- 2+ years of experience focused on data governance or MDM
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and metadata management.
- Experience working cross-functionally to define and operationalize data ownership and standards.
- Experience working in ERPs such as JDE, SAP, etc.
- Ability to translate business needs into practical governance processes and documentation.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills; able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in organizations undergoing digital or data transformation.
- Knowledge of Snowflake, Power BI, or similar modern data stack components.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors is a plus.

Compensation And Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $123,463 - $145,250. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company’s performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
