Job Summary:

• The Quality Engineer role at HP reports to our Print/ Hardware operations business, and it’s based at our manufacturing partner factory in Phetchaburi province, Thailand.
• This is an on-site role, Monday to Friday.
• We welcome new grads or candidates with 0–2 years working experience from Engineering or related Science fields.
• It offers a good chance to gain exposure in a global multinational company, working closely with professional team in manufacturing surrounding.
• This role will directly report to Senior Manager in Quality & Digitalization.
• The main focus is to drive end-to-end quality assurance in manufacturing operations, which will require and develop your skills in engineering analysis, quality management and data analytics of large format printers.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Designs portions of engineering solutions utilizing multiple engineering disciplines for products, systems, software, and solutions based on established engineering principles and development technology guidelines, while ensuring cost effectiveness and quality.
• Implements established test plans for existing designs, including validation of mechanical, electrical, software, and other engineering specifications and requirements.
• Works with senior engineers to assist in inspection of performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency; performs root-cause analysis for issues that arise during assembly and/or test of systems and applies corrective action of problems and deficiencies. 
• Develops and maintains excellent working relationships with all assigned levels across engineering teams within the organization, managing information exchange as required.
• Works collaboratively with cross functional project team members and business peers to understand end-user requirements and propose engineering solutions for best user experience.
• Helps enforce effective preventive maintenance, safety procedures and additional measures, as communicated by other functional teams.
• Develops understanding and relationship with internal and outsourced development partners on engineering design and development.
• Participates as a member of project team of other engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for low to moderately- complex products.
• Contributes proactively to projects through research and data analysis support, providing regular updates on accomplishments and impediments.
• Organizes and documents findings of studies and prepares recommendations for implementation of new systems and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Four-year Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 0-2 years of work experience, preferably in engineering design, engineering design tools and software packages, or a related field.
