Position: Mechanization Technician ( Licensed electrician)
Shift: 3rd 10:30pm – 6:30am
Pay: $40 per hour

The core responsibilities and essential functions required for this role;
- Experience with troubleshooting electrical failures and associated major repairs within the system.
- Must be able to read and understand electrical, mechanical and pneumatic drawings and familiar with all their components
- A good understanding of motor control systems
- Major repairs involve heavy lifting and operation of platform lifts, cranes, and related tools for major repairs.
- Troubleshoot automated material handling and PLC integrated equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair or replace sensors, scanners, visualization systems, motors, frequency inverters and encoders.
- Assist in identifying root cause of faults and production errors.
- Work with Onsite maintenance and software/ IT personnel to ensure maximum system uptime.
- Analyzes system daily operation reports to track and identify opportunities for continued improvement.
- Creates documentation and training materials for system users and system service & maintenance.
- Experience with AUTOCAD.
- Participates in meetings with operations and automation.
Qualification And Additional Requirements:
- Electrical License (442A or 309A)
- 2 to 4 years degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience in similar work.
- Preferably 3+ years of automation systems experience
- PLC electrical and PLC experience an asset
- Familiarity with automation technology and logistics, e.g. conveyors, ASRS, picking and packaging technology.
Role Purpose:
Maintain and repair the warehouse vehicles including all forklift, trailers, conveyors and power equipment. Provide mechanical support, including diagnosis and solution, for a dedicated delivery system including preventative maintenance, major repairs, and accident repairs.
Key Accountabilities:
- Schedule daily maintenance work.
- Perform all repairs on forklifts, conveyors, maintenance equipment and other warehouse power equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance programs on all machines and equipment.
- Review pre-trip and post-trip inspection forms for immediate maintenance requirements.
- Ensure all maintenance work performed both internally and externally is performed to company standards.
- Monitor vehicle condition and performance to ensure driver compliance of company driving policies.
- Manage parts inventory at the most economic level for efficient operation of the system.
- Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
Required Education And Experience:
- Pass Department of Transportation exam
- Pass a mechanical aptitude test
- 6 months related experience
- 2-5 years equipment maintenance experience
- 1 year of fleet experience
