Sustainability Officer

The Student Sustainability Officer will work as a bridge between the Head of Sustainability (and their subcommittee), and the college to create tangible sustainable changes at Ormond College. Through the monitoring of College’s Sustainability Action Plans, the Officer will ensure community action is taken to achieve the sustainability goals.

Key Tasks

• Champion key changes to improve the community’s Waste, Water, Electricity and Biodiversity
• Engage with external organisations to promote sustainable practices at Ormond
• Create sustainability Reports and feedback information to the community
• Attend fortnightly meetings with college staff and students to ensure sustainability goals are set and are acted upon
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate verbally, electronically, and in written form, with Ormond students and staff
• Other duties as directed by Leadership
