Student Life Intern

The Student Life Intern will collaborate with the Student Life (SL) Team to support a diverse range of programs across Careers, Student Community, Wellbeing and Inclusion and Learning. This role involves providing broad support through administration, marketing, event facilitation, and project coordination.

Key Tasks

• Design and publish event promotions for the team within the student community by a variety of means including Ormond Spirit/Circle
• Design a communications plan schedule for events
• Assist with the facilitation and running of Careers events eg breakfast panels
• Work closely with the Careers Team to provide assistance with Ormond Next
• Provide support with student events
• Help the Learning Team with tasks pertaining to their forums, events and programs
• Assist the Wellbeing Team with promoting the Community Wellbeing Index and various other projects
• Be flexible in being prepared occasionally to do extra hours as negotiated with the SL Team
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate verbally, electronically, and in written form, with Ormond students and staff
• Be responsible for completing timesheets in a timely manner
• Treat with utmost discretion any information of a strategic, personal or private nature that may be encountered in the course of the work. Please note that it is the Student Life Intern’s responsibility to check the status of any information before sharing it with anyone other than staff in the SL Team
• Other duties as directed by the Deans’, the Career Development Manager and the Student Life Program Coordinator
