As a Senior Motion Designer / Art Director at UTTR, you will play a key role in crafting visually compelling and performance-driven ad experiences. You’ll bring digital campaigns to life through animation, storytelling, and design that capture attention and drive engagement. This role blends creative direction with hands-on execution - ideal for someone who’s passionate about pushing the boundaries of motion in digital advertising.
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, design, and animate motion graphics for digital advertising campaigns across platforms such as Meta, Google, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Collaborate closely with copywriters, designers, and performance marketers to bring creative ideas to life through dynamic ad experiences.
- Translate brand strategy and campaign objectives into engaging visual narratives optimized for performance.
- Own projects from concept through delivery - ensuring alignment with creative briefs, timelines, brand guidelines, and performance/video ads best practice.
- Optimize creative assets for different formats, aspect ratios, and platforms while maintaining visual consistency and impact.
- Stay ahead of digital trends, animation techniques, and emerging ad formats to keep UTTR’s creative output current/innovative.
- Review and provide feedback on motion assets, ensuring quality, attention to detail, and strategic intent are met.
- Mentor and collaborate with junior designers to elevate overall creative quality.
- 6+ years of experience in motion design and/or art direction, ideally in a digital marketing or performance creative environment.
- Strong proficiency in After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Adobe Creative Suite (experience with Figma or Cinema 4D is a plus).
- Demonstrated portfolio showcasing motion work focused on digital ads and paid campaigns (not TV or long-form content) across multiple channels.
- Deep understanding of how animation and pacing affect click-through, engagement, and conversion performance.
- Ability to think strategically and conceptually - connecting storytelling with marketing goals.
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional creative and media teams.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
