Your Role:

Elanco is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This role is critical in supporting Elanco's financial planning, forecasting, and analysis processes, providing key insights to drive strategic decision-making across the organization. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a vital role in developing financial models, preparing comprehensive reports, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure financial objectives are met.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and maintenance of complex financial models for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario planning, to identify key drivers and potential risks/opportunities.
  • Prepare and present clear, concise financial reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting performance against targets and providing actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, understand business drivers, and support strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reviews, ensuring accuracy and adherence to corporate timelines.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of FP&A activities.

·       Manage and serve as a key liaison for OneStream planning processes, collaborating closely with broader finance teams to ensure data integrity and process efficiency.

  • Support ad-hoc financial projects and analyses as required by management.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with concentration / emphasis in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Required Experience: Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in financial planning/forecasting/ reporting projects or processes, with a publicly traded company.
  • Language fluency in English (written and verbal).
  • Strong computer skills with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate with commercial business partners and other cross-functional stakeholders. 
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Elanco does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B status) for this employment position.

What will give you the competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

  • Knowledge of financial and accounting procedures, reporting, and acumen in order to understand and meet business stakeholder needs.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence business partners based on financial data analysis.
  • Understanding of financial systems: SAP S4 Hana / BPC financial systems, OneStream, PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.

  • Position will be located at Indianapolis, Indiana at Elanco's Global headquarters (Hybrid environment)
  • Travel - 0-10%
