Boilermaker / Welder

We are looking for a talented and experienced Marine Welder / Boilermakers (Aluminium Specialist) to join our team. The successful applicant will become part of our Cairns team, enjoying competitive pay and full penalty rates.

About This Role:

• Fabrication of new aluminium structures
• Deck repairs and replacements
• Watertight door and hatch installations
• Working with pipes, tanks, and other aluminium components

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing high-quality aluminium welds using various techniques (e.g., TIG, MIG)
• Ensuring welds meet stringent quality standards and classification society requirements
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings
• Following safe work practices and adhering to all safety protocols
• Contributing to a positive and productive team environment
• Working independently and as part of a team on various projects

To be Successful in this role you will need:

• Proven experience as a marine welder
• Demonstrated expertise in aluminium welding using TIG and MIG processes
• Experience working in a shipyard or marine environment is a strong preference
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
