Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager oversees all financial and accounting operations within an organization, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting and data analysis. The Accounting Manager also manages the accounting department, including staff, budget, and financial processes, and provides financial guidance to senior management.
Salary Pay Rate: $80,000
Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00AM-5:00PM

Early release may be granted upon completion of all orientation requirements. Please note: orientation is not available during evenings or weekends.
Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field required.
Experience:
• Five (5) years of accounting or related business experience; nonprofit or government experience preferred.
• Experience in a similar role managing staff.
• Experience with financial systems.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage day-to-day operations within the accounting department, including accounts payable, general accounting, and reconciliation processes.
• Complete daily accounting tasks as needed, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Supervise and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation and posting of journal entries.
• Reconcile various trial balance accounts, inter-company accounts, and Accounts Payable/Purchasing systems on a regular basis.
• Prepare, review, and process financial reports, journal entries, invoices, and other documentation to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual financial requirements.
• Provide financial support for non-system contracts, including invoice and report preparation.
• Ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial reports, statements, and data analysis in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and enforce internal accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Hire, train, supervise, and mentor accounting staff; serve as a lead within the department and support cross-training as appropriate.
• Support the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits for A New Leaf and its related entities.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
• Primarily office-based work with occasional travel to various locations for meetings or site visits.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
• Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. for materials or office supplies.
• Standard office environment with exposure to typical office equipment, such as computers, phones, and printers.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
