About This Role
The Escheatment Compliance Analyst will be responsible for the accurate, timely management and processing of unclaimed property accounts for U.S.-based clients. This highly operational position involves reviewing and reconciling dormant/inactive accounts, validating large datasets, preparing and filing state-specific reports and remittances, and maintaining strict compliance with cyclical U.S. regulatory deadlines (spring and fall reporting cycles). The Analyst will work closely with U.S. and Manila teams, external vendors (such as Sovos), and state authorities, supporting process improvement, audit readiness, and ongoing documentation.
Work Environment
- This job operates in a work from home environment
- Monday - Friday US Central Time hours from 9 AM to 5 PM CST
Duties/Responsibilities
- Review, reconcile, and validate dormant and inactive accounts for escheatment processing.
- Collect, organize, and maintain data on unclaimed property per state requirements.
- Prepare, file, and track annual and cyclical state-specific reports and remittances accurately and on time.
- Maintain an up-to-date calendar of critical U.S. filing, remittance, and reporting deadlines.
- Communicate and coordinate with internal teams, U.S. business partners, vendors, and state officials.
- Support audit and regulatory inquiries with precise documentation.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Education And/Or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline; or equivalent operational experience.
- Experience in reconciliations, account operations, transaction processing, or data management in financial or shared services environments.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Effective English written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage deadlines, adapt to evolving U.S. regulatory cycles, and work with high-volume data.
- Willingness to quickly learn state requirements and navigate varying compliance cycles.
- Preferred: Experience or training in U.S. escheatment, unclaimed property, or similar roles and exposure to vendor systems (Sovos, Kelmar) or BPO/accounting environments.
