How will you make an impact in this role?
The Director of Forecasting and Strategic Planning sits within our Global Capacity and Contact Management “GCCM” Organization and is responsible for leading a global team of data scientists and forecasting professionals engaged in accurate long term / short term demand planning, volume analysis and data modeling that informs our staffing levels and enables our Global Servicing Leaders and colleagues to achieve their service level metrics and key performance outcomes.
As Director, you will be responsible for leading the way and contributing to our innovative GCCM transformation journey while providing accurate forecast plans and pro-active influential insights into macro-economic conditions and internal AEXP demand drivers.
The incumbent will partner with and manage a large set of stakeholder relationships across the Global Services Leadership team and effectively collaborate with MIS, Finance, Credit/Fraud Risk and Global Marketing partners to strengthen and inform the forecast modeling program.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a skillful communicator with analytical and strategic proficiency who demonstrates an innovative transformative Leadership aptitude and ability to operate cross-functionally and deliver on shared objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Advance, drive and deliver a progressive and disciplined volume forecast and analytics planning program.
- Deliver highly accurate forecasting results and forward-looking planning insights.
- Provide volume variance commentary and assessment decomposition that enables decision making and drives optimal business results and outcomes.
- Evolve and enhance accurate long/short term volume forecasting models.
- Drive transformational change through innovative thought leadership and solve business problems using quantitative statistical techniques.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with Global Servicing Leadership stakeholders, ensuring regular communication and insights on planning execution.
- Routinely partner with Global planning teams to create, communicate, and coordinate on going volume / staffing plans required to achieve service levels and shareholder targets.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to acquire and apply knowledge of AEXP business growth initiatives, Digital and/or process optimization programs.
Minimum Qualifications
- AI/Machine Learning and/or Python experience and statistical analysis techniques preferred.
- Strong enterprise thinking with a track record of influencing others to embrace change
- Strong analytical mindset with demonstrated innovative Thought Leadership
- Strong collaborator with ability to lead and build relationships cross-functionally to deliver on shared objectives and influence constructively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Demonstrated operational process knowledge and/or modeling proficiency
Temporary Work Assignment 6 Months
Minimum Qualifications
AXP employees will maintain their current salary and may be eligible for a completion bonus at the end of the temporary work assignment. The completion bonus is up to 5% base salary for laterals in band and up to 10% base salary for stretch assignments. The completion bonus amount will also be pro-rated to reflect the length of the assignment.
