As a Payroll Time System Analyst you will provide advanced system support to the Human Resources (HR) department on all time-entry related issues.  You will also Work to obtain, document and correct time related data needed for configuration of the time system in order to process absence and attendance codes correctly during payroll processing.

  •     Act as SAP HR, CATS and Kronos subject matter expert for time, which requires extensive knowledge of the systems and configuration.
  •     Act as project team member for all large scope projects associated with pay codes needed to process payroll correctly.
  •     Assist in implementation and rollout of new time entry systems.
  •     Perform time testing for SAP support packs, enhancements, year-end updates, and Kronos, and any other time systems.
  •     Create and maintain training documentation for all time entry systems.
  •     Addresse all 2nd level Kronos support tickets and troubleshooting of issues.
  •     Responsible for consistency oversight for all time related pay practices.
  •     Responsible for validating, testing, and maintaining Kronos, CATS and/or SAP HR system interfaces related to time data.
  •     Assist HR staff on time entry related tasks & their responsibilities as they prepare to use the various time entry systems.
  •     Provide time system support for all payroll processing groups.
  •     Obtain, document, and control highly detailed pay code information from appropriate sources.
  •     At union sites, analyze all aspects of union contracts from a pay perspective.
  •     Assist with developing and follows procedures for balancing time-entry systems.
  •     Other duties as assigned.

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

 

Qualifications:

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Memphis Refinery, required.
  •  High School Diploma or GED - require  3+ years of experience in the following area(s):  Professional payroll time-entry system administration and/or payroll processing required.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or higher level degree - preferred•    SAP HR, CATS and/or Kronos experience preferred.
  • FPC (Fundamentals of Payroll Certificate) certification preferred.
