Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams are responsible for a wide range of activities including financial control, forecasting, and budgeting, analysis of financial/business metrics, delivery of weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting, development of new reporting capabilities (e.g. dashboards and automation), and advising the line of business leaders on how to increase profitability and efficiencies.
As the Vice Preident (603) within the Consumer & Business Banking P&A teams, you will be responsible for our key financial measures – Revenue and drivers, where you will be expected to deliver value-added financial reporting and analysis and assist with strategic direction and decision making. You will be expected to interact regularly with the finance partners, and peers across Consumer & Business Banking Finance teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and track performance metrics, create presentations, and provide financial analysis on a variety of topics to senior management.
- Oversee the process to deliver month-end results, forecasts for the remainder of the year, and budgets for future years.
- Manage the delivery of CCAR and Stress Testing results, ensuring completion of BWM-related submissions.
- Ensure completion of BWM Resolution & Recovery regulatory submissions, including follow-up on methodology changes, financial preparation, and CFO reviews.
- Perform variance analysis to identify key drivers of results and present commentary to the P&A manager and line of business CFOs, explaining changes from prior forecasts and budgets.
- Design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver financial results to senior management.
- Enhance controls and streamline processes, introducing automation where possible.
- Lead process improvement, transformation, and dashboarding initiatives for the team.
- Manage, mentor, and lead the team effectively towards achieving organizational goals.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- CA/CFA/MBA/PGDBM with 10+ years experiences in Planning & Analysis function
- In depth knowledge of Financial Planning, forecasting and/or Stress testing/CCAR
- Ability to manage multiple (and changing) project deliverables at same time; can independently prioritize deliverables, execute toward milestones, and identify roadblocks
- Strong communication, presentation, planning, and inter-personal skills. Confidence to work directly with senior managers to influence direction and provide a counter point
- Strong knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
- Inquisitive, enthusiastic and diligent, and capable of challenging peers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly
- Possess a transformation mindset with strong strategic thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Knowledge and experience of SQL, Python, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning would be preferred
